Camp David 2019 was my first Camp ever, I had no clue what to expect, I was excited because I had never been to a camp before, I was ready for the woods, ants and mosquitoes.
But Camp David 2019 was an experience I would never forget. I admit it was a bit scary at first, but then on the first day I felt so welcomed, and then the campground was massive.
Then praise night happened, I had never danced that much, and I heard gospel praise on a different level, talking about the rooms, the beds were sizeable and comfortable, and I slept like a baby.
On the day of the first main session and worship, I experienced God’s presence, I felt His Love surrounding me and He said He isn’t letting me go. Through all the main sessions we had, I asked for the next step in my life and God told me and I also had a deeper understanding of who God is.
As a person, I wasn’t open to talking to anyone, but the Generals showed me that it was okay to talk about whatever was wrong. There was no condemnation nor guilt.
Also, there were games, and camp wars which made me even more excited, because I got to play and have fun with people.
Then the moment nobody wanted to come, came. Leaving camp was sad but I knew that I left the campgrounds with Camp David in me, It was an experience that I cherish and I will always remember.
